  • Abstract
    This document describes an interactive observation system for kidney glomeruli using the immersive environment. First, we captured X-ray images and converted them to computer tomograms. Second, a three-dimensional (3-D) image was reconstructed using various image processing, binarization, dilation, contraction, labeling and surface rendering techniques. Third, we presented the 3-D image on the immersive projection system and installed a function to count the glomeruli. This system gives to an observer both an immersive environment and an interactive action for a projected object.
