Abstract :
A computer code for numerical simulation of nonstationary processes in resonant microwave oscillators has been developed. The code is based on the nonstationary theory of excitation of a periodic waveguide structure modeled as a chain of coupled oscillators (cavities). Such an approach allows one to consider properly the dispersion of slow-wave structure (SWS), and to model processes in the center of the SWS pass band, as well as near cut-off/stopband. The electron motion is modeled by “particles in cells” (PIC) method. The developed code may be applied for solution of many practical problems, such as amplification of multi-frequency signals, self-modulation and chaos generation, parasitic self-excitation of amplifiers, and short pulses amplification or generation.
