  • Abstract
Well-defined nanocrystalline CdSnO3 thin films were prepared by spray pyrolysis technique at a substrate temperature of 350°C. The structural, surface morphological and microstructural properties were investigated using different techniques such as X-ray diffraction, FESEM, AFM and TEM. X-ray diffraction studies revealed that film is nanocrystalline with orthorhombic crystal structure. A gas sensor based on thin film was applied to ethanol sensing test as well as some other gases. Obtained results show that the sensitivity of nanocrystalline CdSnO3 thin film sensor reaches 576.2 to 100 ppm ethanol with a response time less than 12 s.
