Abstract :
System performance is presented for differential phase-shift keyed (DPSK) communication systems using two different differential detection metrics. Interleaving effects on correlated errors are demonstrated. Probability distribution functions for each of the metrics are shown. Also included are results that show the importance of proper setting of signal level within the dynamic range of the A/D converter preceding the decoder
