Abstract
Broadband network technologies, like ATM, are becoming more common and are starting to replace traditional Ethernet networks. There are two competing methods to transfer LAN traffic over ATM. We decided to do a comparison between the two, and also the traditional Ethernet. Since realtime multimedia is one of the most demanding applications for the network, we chose transfer delay, which is essential in such an application, for our test criteria
