Abstract :
The performance monitoring of equipment on offshore assets is a contentious issue and one that is often ignored by operator and contractors alike. That said, the benefits to be gained by properly implemented and aligned performance monitoring are numerous and manifold. Moreover, the current economic climate is one that demands a reduction in the unreliability of process plant and it is in this context that a new management approach to performance monitoring has been developed. This paper presents a novel and innovative methodology for the continuous on-line performance monitoring of static and rotating equipment and using these techniques as the primary driver for plant maintenance, production optimisation and loss reporting
