Abstract :
This paper is aimed at utilizing the biomass energy in high-rise buildings to contribute to the energy demand of the building. An application example is the Pearl River Tower in Guangzhou, China which uses solar PV modules and wind turbines to contribute to the energy demand of the building. The energy generated by biomass is almost the same as that generated by PV modules and half that of the maximum energy generated by the wind turbines.
