Abstract
Glycyrrhetinic acid (GA, 3 β-hydroxyl-11-oxo-olean-12-ene-29-oic acid, 1) isolated from Glycyrrhiza glabra was found to have several pharmacological activities. A series of novel GA derivatives were designed and synthesized as antitumor agents. Their structures were confirmed using MS and 1H-NMR.
