Abstract :
The presentation describes the process which Eastern Electricity (UK) has adopted, in developing its maintenance strategy and ensuring that it integrates with its asset management and corporate objectives. The first part of the presentation emphasises the importance of developing an asset management plan, and how Eastern identified the various business drivers which led to its maintenance strategy. The second part discusses the need to be able to accurately assess asset condition, as a fundamental objective of its inspection and maintenance policy. In the final part of the presentation, Eastern´s approach to building a maintenance history is explained
