Abstract :
We propose a framework for supporting manufacturing activities as part of the supply chain management The manufacturing process is seen as a network of processing nodes where products are either transformed or assembled. Each node is endowed with some autonomy that enables it to enhance. the agility, and the ´fluidity´ of the manufacturing process. Nodes are able to search for the. best deals on the market and to respond dynamically to changes in internal or external conditions. This requires transactional knowledge as well as some knowledge of the supply chain (embodied into the degree of availability at a particular node). This framework is modelled by it combination of agent technology and extended transaction models in order to facilitate dynamic activities in supply chain.
