Abstract :
A critical requirement of a telecommunications system is fault tolerance. Fault tolerance is the ability of a system to perform in a reasonable manner in the presence of faults. The distributed processing environment (DPE) has an important role to play in making a TINA system fault-tolerant. This paper describes the work in progress designing a fault-tolerant DPE using a commercial object request broker
