Abstract :
It is suggested that with the proper advising, a student desiring to obtain a BSET (Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology) degree at NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology) could take most of the courses required by an engineering county college. The student may get an A.A.S. (Associate of Applied Science) degree at the county college in an program other than engineering technology. By completing a bridge program, the student would be eligible for admission in the BSET program at NJIT as a junior. The necessary courses in other county colleges offering them. The respective program coordinator at NJIT would coordinate the bridge program. Each county college could designate a program coordinator to advise and monitor the students´ curriculum. This coordinator would also act as the liaison with the program coordinators at NJIT
