Abstract
Diffusive light through human tissues has been used to investigate the functional status of the human body. Accumulated efforts have been made to bring this technique to a clinically acceptable stage. Here, the authors present a new reconstruction method for near infrared (NIR) diffusive tomography. Its usefulness is manifested by reconstructed images from both simulated and experimental data. The authors conclude that their new algorithm is efficient in translating measured diffusive photon density waves into high quality images of optical properties
