Abstract
Today, employing well qualified control room operators, engineers, and support personnel, is an economic necessity for cement manufacturers. Training is the only way to achieve higher qualification, resulting in immediate financial benefits for the modern cement producers. This paper will describe a progressive tool for such process related training: a SIMULATOR, tailor-made for the cement industry. A cement plant simulator models the entire production line and thus creates a virtual cement plant. Using a simulator, training can become personalized, more intense and more flexible, in a very realistic environment.
