Abstract
In this paper an optimization sectionaliser planning problem is presented. It is solved for distribution power systems with Distributed Generation (DG) in order to minimize both the power losses and the unsupplied loads. Supposing that an ICT infrastructure is available, the solution allows improving the continuity of the service because in case of permanent fault the solution algorithm suggests forming self-supplied islands (microgrids). The problem is formulated as a multiobjective mixed integer non linear programming problem (MINLP) and the solution algorithm has been based on an evolutionary strategy. The method is applied both to an IEEE standard and a real test case.
