  • Abstract
    A systematic study of 2nd to 4th order single loop ΔΣ modulators, with single and multi bit quantizers, is presented. Based on extensive behavioural simulations, the optimal loop coefficients and the corresponding obtainable performances are found and listed in tables. The performance degradation compared with an ideal nth-order modulator is quantified and explained in the light of a linear model
