Abstract :
SGLT1, a member of the sodium-dependent glucose co-transporter family, plays a crucial role in the re-absorption of filtered D-glucose in the kidney proximal tubule. The present study extends the AFM investigations to a live cell system in order to obtain direct evidence of SGLT1 recognition in intact cell membranes.
