Abstract
The NASA JPL Deep Space Network (DSN) of large, Earth-based, dual reflector antennas is subject to continuing demands for improved signal reception sensitivity, and increased transmitted power, dynamic range, navigational accuracy, and frequency stability. The present paper describes the specifications of the system with an emphasis on its narrow-bandwidth applications, which include the main reflector panel adjustment and subreflector alignment by means of microwave holography, and antenna frequency stability measurements. Some data acquired data from three newly built 34-m beamwaveguide (BWG) antennas are presented and discussed
