Finite array scan impedance at the grating lobe angle

It is important to understand how the edges of a finite array affect its performance. These edge effects typically reduce the performance of especially at angles near for both radiation and scattering. It is desirable to have a way of estimating finite array edge effects without involving a large numerical exercise each time. Such a method would be very useful for systems trades and for preliminary design.
