Abstract
The bath-plug antenna is an antenna designed for use in a GaAs MMIC, at millimetre wavelengths. The antenna radiates through the GaAs substrate via a matched, dielectric-filled waveguide aperture, making the antenna well-suited for use in a focal-plane array for a multibeam telescope. An analysis of an array of bath-plug antennas has been developed and we have built and tested a 2-element array, operating at 3 GHz. Good agreement was obtained between our analysis and measurements. The design of a 94 GHz array is also outlined
