Abstract :
The effect of the SOA phase recovery time, and the DI delay and power splitting ratio on the performance of an SOA-DI all-optical wavelength converter in terms of extinction ratio and Q-factor is investigated. For input signals with practical duty cycles, the DI must be carefully designed to match the characteristics of the SOA
