Abstract :
Mechatronic products are automated machines that incorporate electronic control systems. Because most mechatronic products are modular, their control systems usually consist of a network of intelligent actuators supervised by embedded microcontrollers. In this paper we discuss real-life experiences in the development of components for mechatronic products. The components were successfully developed by integrating CASE and CACE models. The reuse of the software components was demonstrated in the control of the booms of a mine drilling jumbo and the gear control system of a farming tractor
