Abstract :
In business information systems planning, requirement identification of the systems is the most important issue. However, it is difficult to perform requirement, identification tasks with high quality, because these tasks need rich knowledge and skilful techniques. A support system for these tasks is strongly demanded. For developing the support system, we analyzed cases of information systems planning processes, and found out that utilizing expert knowledge included in cases is one of the critical factors for the requirement identification tasks. Based on this recognition, we have developed rule and case based support systems for the tasks named SQUARE and SMAP.
