  • Abstract
This study discusses the feasibility of sequential combination of soil washing and chemical stabilization, through investigating the metal mobility in the treated soils. Results indicate that the washing can facilitate to chemically stabilize metals, if the soil has substantial labile fractions to be removed by washing. However, if the labile metal fraction is negligible, an opposite effect is often observed.
