Abstract :
This paper proposes a method to measure the position of a vehicle on highway by a series of corner-cubes and laser transceivers. The laser transceivers emit fan shaped laser beams and detect the returned beams reflected by corner-cube. The time data when a laser beam returns to the transmitter depend on the movement of the vehicle. Then an on-board computer calculates the position and attitude from the data. This paper reports the measurement principle and some experimental results
