Abstract
The performance of a hybrid direct sequence/slow frequency hopping CDMA system is investigated in the situation with and without power control, using QPSK modulation. The mobile-to-base link is modeled as a Rayleigh fading channel with all users experiencing independent fading, a theoretical analysis of the effect of imperfect power control on the link capacity and efficiency is presented using an analytical model. Finally, selection diversity is introduced to improve the performance of the system
