  • Abstract
Due to its convenience, accessibility and attractability, e-learning systems had been becoming more and more popular. There exists a typical e-learning system named project-based integrated learning environment (PILE). Most of researchers concentrated on technical features of e-learning systems, but not on pedagogical processes underlying the implementation of those systems. This paper proposed a conceptual technical approach for PILE named measurement record, which functioned as the technical support for a framework of four pedagogical processes, named visualizing and decomposing project, communicating and interacting, learning and measuring, and assessment and feedback. In four cyclic processes, measurement record plays a central role. The coordination between measurement record and cyclic processes enables students to align individual development with the goals of project by means of interaction and communication to improve their comprehensive abilities, e.g., interactivity, collaboration and communication.
