  • Abstract
Solidification/stabilization effect of FeSO4 and Ca(OH)2/CaO on chromium contaminated soil were studied by contrast, especially the effect of its reaction interval time and concentration. The change of S/S effect with time was also discussed. Results reveal that the reaction interval time effected on S/S slightly, with the high quality ratio of water to soil. As FeSO4 and Ca(OH)2 was used as the S/S agent, when the FeSO4 concentration went up to more than 3 times, the Cr(VI) concentration could reach the standard stably (less than 5 mg/L); when FeSO4 and CaO was used, the Cr(VI) concentration could be less than 5 mg/L with the FeSO4 concentration more than 4 times in 20 d. The S/S effect of FeSO4 and Ca(OH)2 was better than that of FeSO4 and CaO under the same condition.
