Abstract :
A robust H control problem of a bioprocess is solved by using linear matrix inequalities to illustrate the trade-off between uncertainty tolerance and H attenuation. References and an overview of H results for uncertain linear systems with polytopic uncertainties may be found in Boyd et al. (1994). The control problem may be recast as a standard convex or quasi-convex optimization problem involving linear matrix inequalities. The interest of this framework is that it allows one to combine different results and to find a simultaneous solution for them. The results are illustrated through a simple bioprocess
