Abstract :
In the permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs), there are many kinds of rotor topologies, which include the surface mounted PM, V-type PM, W-type PM, surface inset PM, and flux concentrating PM rotor, etc. Moreover, the performances of the PMSM with different rotor topologies are different. To investigate the CPM with SMC core more deeply, this paper compares the performance of the CPM with the different rotor structures, namely surface mounted PM, surface inset PM, V-type PM and flux concentrating PM rotor.
