Abstract :
The authors report on the impact of an externally funded, institution-wide project for the development of human resources in informatics and microelectronics on the quality of engineering education at Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronautica (ITA). The project was very successful in terms of achieving the initial objectives. Participation of undergraduate students in CTA-based research and development activities increased. Most faculty members who made a technical visit or attended a conference or meeting in their field of specialization reported an improvement in motivation
