Abstract :
The Internet was leveraged with a mission to provide information access and delivery for all, through an infrastructure that would deliver “one kind of service that fits for all”. Transforming this information-centric model into a services-centric model fit for enterprise activities, in which quality of service and choice of services are sine qua non attributes, necessitates changes in the current Internet architecture. We examine the changes required in the Internet architecture and its service philosophy through two examples: electronic commerce and evidence based healthcare
