Abstract
This paper describes a new method of achieving ideal plane-wave propagation in the transmission-line modelling method (TLM). The technique, first reported by the authors, is verified from first principles and demonstrated in simulations. The method has the advantages that it is simple to implement, effective in graded meshes, and allows the excitation of plane-waves in any polarisation
