Abstract :
We present an analytical solution for the field and modes of the double cone sector by using the Hertzian vector potential in the spherical coordinate system. The basic approach excludes trivial solutions, therefore simple root search methods can be used to find the eigenvalues of the modes. The ability of propagation of a mode will be determined by its radial wave impedance or its radial propagation function
