  • Abstract
This paper presents a new blind equalization technique based on a predictive filter structure with infinite impulse response (IIR). The resulting technique is an evolution of former proposals where only finite-impulse response (FIR) predictors were used. The proposed structure is optimized with the constant modulus criterion resulting in a technique robust to phase errors. The predictive constant modulus algorithm (PCMA) offers low computational complexity and excellent performance in radio channels with high degree of dispersion. Simulations results also show that stability is verified in practical situations
