Abstract
The change in the measurement world brought by the development of the intelligent instrumentation allows us to qualify effects of influencing quantities which have been so long neglected. This influencing variables can be either intrinsic to the instrument, or specific to the environment in where the instrument has to work. Owing to the measuring qualities, if is compulsory to integrate inside each intelligent sensor some models for the compensation of influencing variables precisely calibrated. So we give all details of material and procedure of prime necessity calibration phase to which any intelligent sensor have to be submitted. This strategy is applied to an intelligent temperature transmitter. The results on site for this transmitter are compared to a classical temperature transmitter in the same conditions
