Abstract
This paper presents a dual-polarized feed used for Compact Ranges (CR). The radiation part of the feed is a four-slot corrugated horn. The feeding part achieves dual-polarization by using balanced-fed technology. A novel coaxial-to-waveguide probe structure is proposed to improve the cross-polarization characteristics. Measurement results show that good performances for CR applications are achieved, including stable beamwidth patterns, low amplitude and phase taper, low side and back lobes, and the cross polarization less than -25 dB over 3-5 GHz.
