Abstract :
Digital IIR filters obtained from analog filters and realized with the z operator, delta operator, ε=z-1/T where T is the sampling period, and with the ω´=2 z-1/T z+1, z´=z-1 z˜=z-1/Tz operators are compared under the effect of quantization of transfer function coefficients. It is shown that filter realizations in ε, ω´ or z˜ provide superior performance than z or z´ with fixed- and floating-point processors
