Abstract :
The independence of random variables (RVs) can be evaluated by simply `counting grid-boxes´. The paper considers this interesting phenomenon, gives theoretical explanations for it and proposes a simple method for blind source separation (BSS). The new method shows high performance in separating multimedia signals and favors digital implementation
