Abstract :
In the fast evolving social web domain, users have a growing demand for consuming context-aware social experiences and digital content. However, users currently have their social context distributed everywhere, and have limited ownership and control of it. On the other hand, application developers and content providers are having a hard time in reaching out to the right users and creating personalized experiences for them. This demonstration paper presents the PocketSocial service, as a solution to addressing these issues. PocketSocial enables users to own their distributed social context and fully control the access to it, and possibly trade it for values. From application developers and content providers´ point of view, PocketSocial is the one place to go to for a unified view of users´ social context.
