Abstract :
This paper studies some typical soft failures patterns in strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS). The soft failure models and their effect on system performance are presented. Also, a detection and estimation method is proposed based on the parity equation and weighted recursive least square estimation algorithm. The proposed method is illustrated by a application example of re-entry spacecraft
