Abstract
A key function required in integrated optical sensing is the ability to analyze the spectrum of optical signal. Photonic crystals (PCs), due to their unique dispersion properties, are proper choices to realize such compact spectrometers in an integrated platform. The superprism effect in PCs has been proposed for compact wavelength demultiplexers
