  • Abstract
Skyrmions are stable magnetization configurations that readily arise in ferromagnetic materials with significant Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions (DMI). One possible method to drive a skyrmion is via the application of current by making use of the Spin-Transfer-Torque (STT) from the conduction electron. The behaviour of a skyrmion in such systems is akin to a pseudo-particle, to which familiar particle properties such as mass can be associated. In this work, we demonstrate a technique to extract particle-like properties of a skyrmion through its response to an applied alternating current.
