  • Abstract
The implementation of real time applications over TCP helps control and improve performance over wireless links. UDP has no control if packets are not received, therefore to create applications better-suited for wireless long distance link, a close approximation to UDP behavior has to be made. This paper presents results of enhancing wireless link budget based on QoS over layer 2 and 3 with a modified Radio Controlled Car. The controllable distance with line of sight (LOS) is considerably higher compared to normal RC Cars and WiFi range with a home router. QoS gives driving instruction packets priority over video packets to increase effective driving range and diminish the congestion of video UDP traffic in the link.
