Abstract :
Theoretical and experimental investigations on a HF monopole antenna in which continuously tapered resistivity loading along the length of the antenna has been used to achieve wideband performance are described. The measured antenna input impedance and efficiency, and the calculated antenna radiation pattern are presented. Impedance tuning networks for this antenna are discussed briefly
