  • Abstract
    The optical control of the radiation pattern is experimentally presented for the active antennas which have butterfly-shaped microstrip patches loaded directly with FETs. The X-band oscillators are coupled via free space radiation, and the microwave beam can be scanned by a laser illumination to the FET
