Abstract
Chlorine decay was investigated in Isfahan Water Transportation Line. Bulk chlorine demand was determined using laboratory examinations on samples taken from treatment plant clear well. Besides, the relation between UV-adsorbance and chlorine decay was investigated. Results showed that bulk chlorine decay constant is in range of -0.0031 to -0.0042 hr-1 (mean of -0.0037 hr-1) and also showed that there is significant relation between UV-adsorbance and chlorine decay. Based on results wall chlorine decay had the highest effect on chlorine decay.
