Abstract
A cross-mesh strip antenna is composed of an outer loop strip and four inner strips. These strips are printed on a dielectric substrate backed by a conducting square ground plane of side-length g. The antenna is analyzed using the FDTD method. Resistive input impedance is obtained by appropriately choosing the width of the outer loop strip. The frequency responses of the VSWR, gain, and axial ratio are revealed. The beam front-to-back ratio as a function of the side length g is also discussed
