Abstract
In order to explain a variety of peculiar nonlinear characteristics exhibited in a subharmonic load pull experiment theoretically, and to build a system level nonlinear model precisely, this paper has conducted a subharmonic load pull experiment on a class-A power amplifier. The bias point and input signal power are swept to get the experimental data of sub-harmonic load pull under different conditions. A synthetical analysis is made with these data, which can explain well the data acquired. On the base of the analysis, a new circuit model is also built. Excelling the Volterra model proposed before, this model can work well in the strong nonlinear condition as well as in the weak nonlinear condition
