Abstract :
We report on components and techniques for single wavelength channel transmission of 1.28 Tbit/s over 240 km and 2.56 Tbit/s over 160 km. The enabling technologies were the OTDM technology, the DQPSK modulation format, precise dispersion management of the fiber link and polarization multiplexing
